The Wall is a philosophical account of the appreciation of freedom and choice. The film was shot in Berlin during a pro-Russian rally in support of the Crimean “referendum”. The fragment of the wall left in its center is like a scar in the history of the whole country. It was here that such dramatic events occurred that influenced the geopolitics of the second half of the twentieth century. It would seem that we all had to draw appropriate conclusions. But history repeats itself. Under the mad pretext of fighting fascism, the Kremlin pulls Ukraine back into the past – into the USSR. In order to fend off Russia, Ukraine has to build a wall along its border. And all this is happening in the year of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall …
