EIGHTH MUSICAL COMPETITION “SOLOSPIV”
XIV KYNOLITOPIS-2019 INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
The eighth Solospev Music Contest (hereinafter referred to as the Contest) this year is dedicated to the 205th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth (1814-1861).
The competition will be held on November 13, 2019 in Kyiv, as part of the events of the 16th Kiev International Film Festival-2019, which took place September 5-8. Kyiv House of Cinema (hereinafter referred to as “the Festival”).
The purpose of the Contest is to identify and support talented youth between the ages of 18 and 35 and to share their creative achievements internationally. Students, postgraduates, teachers of music and music-pedagogical faculties of universities, as well as professional singers and pianists-concertmasters are allowed to participate in the competitions. The idea of the competition is to revive the vocal traditions of national cinema.
Competition requirements: in instrumental accompaniment to perform three different genre vocal works, one of which is related to the name of Taras Shevchenko, in particular, from the treasury of world and national cinema (music, documentary, fiction); arias from Shevchenko’s opera, romances and folk songs (preferably a cappella) on the poems of the Great Kobzar.
The competition is held in one round. Duplication of prize places (except Grand Prix) in each nomination of the Contest is allowed.

- awards to the best concertmasters.

10×15 cm photo card (preferably in jpeg 150 dpi format);
help from work or study;
photocopy of passport.
