“Coastland” presents a fictional narrative rooted into architectural research. The story of the Western Black Sea coast begins in a distant future and goes back to its roots, only to reveal cyclical destruction and rebirth. The film is created entirely out of the author’s collection of authentic postcards.

surprised to find that she is holding auditions for a film about their relationship. An absurd way to come to terms with their breakup.

Shortly before Shabbat begins, Amos calls her more observant mother. But the call is interrupted by her 90 year old neighbor Orah whose husband has stopped breathing. Orah cannot cope with what has happened, and Amos and she light the traditional Shabbat candles before Amos calls an ambulance.

SILHOUETTE OF BRAIDS

For 50 years a family archive sat in the dark, until Rotem persuaded her mother Varda to watch her childhood anew. 8mm films were discovered as documentation of an amateur filmmaker, Varda’s mother, who documented her life in Tel Aviv in the late 1960s. The films shed light on past memories mixed with the present; of mother-daughter relationships.

The movie RED is about the scraps of life of Judyta and her father Zbigniew, shown across several days following the death of Judyta’s brother, Marcin, killed in a car accident. As they try to come to terms with the void left by a loss of a loved one, all their mutual resentment and finger pointing is unexpectedly interrupted by a stranger: Red.
